9 Vegan egg substitutes that can be used in virtually any Recipe

As the eggs are present in many conventional recipes, know how to replace them is important when cooking.

In some recipes, eggs act as a binder. Its fat content also adds flavor. Other times, they act as a leavening agent or thickening.

Fortunately, there are other ingredients that can serve the same purpose. Of course, the flavor and texture may change. It may take some time to get used to these new ingredients, which is not a problem. There is a good chance that you go to worship these changes over time.

To begin, here is a list of common vegans substitutes (and not so common) to the egg:

1. Apple Puree
Use a quarter cup of cooked and mashed apple as a substitute for each egg.

2. Banana
You can use mashed bananas (where silver banana has the taste less sweet and intense). Use a ripe banana for each egg.

3. Pumpkin
The creamy consistency of cooked pumpkin is good for cooking. You will need a quarter cup to replace each egg.

4. Flaxseed
Flax seeds are a superfood full of fiber and healthy fats.

It can also be used as an egg substitute. For each egg, mix one tablespoon of ground flaxseed soup with three tablespoons of water. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes, allowing the seeds absorb water. Add the mixture to its mass as usual.

5. Seed chia
As well as flaxseed, chia is on the superfoods list. It is also rich in healthy fats and fibers, along with magnesium and antioxidants.

For each egg that needs to be replaced, mix a tablespoon of chia seeds soup with three tablespoons of water. Let the mixture rest for 15 to 20 minutes, allowing the seeds to absorb water. It will form a gel.

6. Vegan Yogurt
Thanks to the consistency and texture of yogurt, this food can be used in place of eggs. Use a yogurt cup room (soybean, coconut) for each egg. It is better to opt for yogurt with no added flavor.

7. Chickpea flour
Many people are not aware of the versatility of this ingredient! Mix chickpea flour glass room with a quarter cup of water or vegetable milk. This mixture is enough to replace an egg in a recipe.

8. Tofu
Tofu is a star when it comes to vegan food. To use it as a substitute, use crushed tofu in dishes such as stews and salads. You can still spread it in a pan with some vegetables and let it brown.

9. Avocados
Like other foods on this list, the avocado is soft and creamy in its natural state. Two tablespoons to one cup of mashed avocado room can replace an egg, depending on the recipe. Experiment with the ingredient is the key.
